Back Towards The Locus

Instaplatitude? Instapartisan rhetoric? Whatever, I couldn’t think of a good headline to suit this:

“SARAH PALIN ON HER GAY FRIEND: “She is not my ‘gay’ friend, she is one of my best friends.” Funny that she and John McCain get so little credit from the gay community for what have actually been quite progressive attitudes.”

• She also tells us that her friend “made a choice” to be gay, which “isn’t a choice that [she] has made“.
• Not judging a person by their sexuality isn’t an attribute any more than not judging a person by the colour of their skin is. It should expected, not credited.
• Hmm, yes, “funny”, isn’t it. You can’t separate the pink and pinko, can you.

Jeez, for a terse guy he can squeeze in a lot to disagree with.
