Last week, I showed that the noxious slice of Islamophobia Obsession was promoted by an anti-Obama activist, probably hired through his Republican affiliated PR firm.

The organisation behind Obsession – the “non partisanClarion Fund - has recently brought out a new film: The Third Jihad. I wonder how it’s going…

“Brent Lowder, a partner in Frontline Strategies LLC, represented the nonprofit Clarion Fund, which produced the film…

The Clarion Fund describes itself as a nonpartisan organization aimed at educating Americans about national security issues, particularly about the threat of radical Islam.”

Unfortunately for their “nonpartisan” efforts, Frontline Strategies was founded by the Executive Director of the Bush-Cheney Florida Re-election campaign. Lowder himself was in Giuliani’s campaign staff, and was formerly an aide to the unsuccessful Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Simon.

In other words, they couldn’t get much more partisan without actually being found in bed with Karl Rove.

Good work, boys, good work.

A tip of the hat to Richard Silverstein
