I was sad to see (via Pootergeek) that Willie Donaldson has staggered off the mortal coil. As with most geniuses his death was cold and lonely, but his life was so interesting that one can merely quote the newspaper reports that fluttered in his wake…

It really puts shipwrecks like Doherty and Winehouse to shame: a man that could actually live entertainingly. In fairness, he didn’t have to have his nostrils examined by a phalanx of cameramen as he left his door each morning.

I posted about your “interesting” past today, not because I want to have a go at you, but because I am collecting evidence to support my claim that people can sockpuppet responsibly. A bit like drug taking I suppose, the context is everything. If you don’t care for my post I will pull it without hesitation,

That’s not sockpuppeting, dude. That’s using one name on one forum and another on a totally separate one. It’s only sockpuppeting if multiple identities are utilised for deceitful purposes (for example, using multiple identities on CiF so as to attack those one perceives to be ones rivals).
