I was going to scrawl down a few fisks while I waiting for inspiration, the fog to clear, a reason to live etc., but then I remembered the “shorter” concept, created by Daniel Davies, perfected by Elton Beard and practiced, gloriously, by Sadly, No!. Basically, a “shorter” is a distilled summation of a particularly stupid, obfuscating or dishonest argument. Hacks away the gristle to reveal the meat, if you will (or, alternatively, removes the polish so that one can see the turd).

Spot on about Danny Finkelstein. The man is a complete pile of shit, an apologist for and enthusiast of state-sanctioned war crimes.

Finkelstein does come across as pretty affable on Comment Central, but his articles are quite often…vomitous. I suppose one must separate the personal and the political (which makes it much harder to make snide jokes).
